Several organizations are joining forces to take on the cruel conditions incarcerated individuals are subjected to in extreme temperatures without air conditioning by means of a class action suit. The unfavorable conditions lead to overheating and other health issues with no way to cool down during the summer heat. We applaud these efforts!! We wanted to know how we could help, so we have introduced an in-the-mean-time solution of assisting with the cost of purchasing fans.

The lawsuit alleges that those with certain medical conditions and those in solitary confinement are at increased risk in Algoa Correctional Center, which does not have central air conditioning.

Only half of MO prisons have AC, leaving individuals suffering through the summer months.

Fans cost $25, and not everyone has someone to help support them!!
